What’s on in Perth in October
Halloween isn’t the only thing on in Perth this October! You may not have known it, but this month is actually quite busy for our little city. We’ve gathered some exciting events and happenings this month so that you’ll have more outings other than trick or treating with your kids…
Elmar’s In The Valley Oktoberfest
It’s that time of year again when the people of Perth dress up in their Dirndl and Lederhosen to celebrate German beer and good folk.
This celebratory Bavarian festival can now be enjoyed by the whole family! Elmar’s in the Valley welcomes kids to their Oktoberfest Family Day event on the 13th of October. Elmar’s is transforming their space into a Biergarten and is putting on live music and some German-inspired games. Traditional Marzen beer will be flowing and you will be able to stuff yourself silly with Bratwurst and other authentic German food! Grab a ticket for the family and head to the heart of the Swan Valley for a day of entertainment and fun.

Perth Greek Festival 2019
Get ready for souvlaki, gyros and baklava because the people of Perth are delegating 9 full days of Greek appreciation this October!
Starting on the 19th, a mix of activities including Greek heritage walking trails, olive tree workshops, Greek kitchen masterclasses, Greek movie night and photo exhibitions will hit different locations in Perth.
The Greek Festival Day will kick off at Russel Square, Northbridge on the 26th followed by Oxi Day or Greek National Day on the 28th at Kings Park.
A celebration of Greek history, lifestyle and cuisine, the Perth Greek Festival will bring together Australia’s diverse cultures and light up Perth!

The Pineapple Club is back!
Making a bold return to Perth, this seasons Pineapple Club is set to go off! With multiple side stages, you and your friends can groove out to house & disco at the Big Pineapple Pit, RnB vibes in the Fruit Bowl or get down to the sounds of Lab Six in the Tiny Club. And what’s a classic Pineapple Club event without a raging silent disco.
Being held at Wellington Square, there will be plently of space to chill out in between sets. Beers wines and spirits will be flowing and it’s guaranteed there will be some good eats.

Taco Me Crazy – Perth Taco Fest
BIG YES. Clear your calendar for the 11th of October and get excited for the biggest spread of crispy, juicy tacos. This taco festival is basically massive cook-off between Perths very best chefs for the top prize – The Taco Crown. The winner will go into the Finals for the Aus Street Food Awards, so votes are taken seriously!
You can taste an abundance and variety of both traditional and modern takes on the beloved taco. The most anticipated have said to be the traditional spicy Mexican taco with salsa, chilli pepper and avocado, the halloumi taco with grilled garlic veges and corn relish and the smoked pulled pork taco topped with black beans, slaw and bbq sauce.
So gather your fellow Taco enthusiasts (or general foodies) and vote for your favourite Taco, while pigging out on some delicious combinations.

Forrest Live Family Fun
Ok, this 3 day festival at Forrest Chase looks pretty wicked. We’re talking free beauty sessions, live DJ’s, yoga classes and more…
The event is being held from the 11th to the 13th of October and is an easy way to keep the whole family happy. Mum will be dying to enjoy some pampering at the Beauty hub where she can receive beauty tips and get advice from experts. Dad can sit back and unwind with a beer at the beer garden and the kids will be spoilt with entertainment from video games, to dance classes, circus workshops and lego building, When everyone starts to get hungry, you can hit the food trucks! There will be a line-up of delicious eats including Japanese street food, flavoursome Indian curries, loaded fries and more.

You will truly feel as if you’re in a nightmare as you wake up in a dark basement, franticly searching for an escape while something is creeping behind you. We will be impressed if you can keep your eyes open when Pennywise comes to life in a sinister screening.

UnWined Subiaco
If the word Wine doesn’t temped you enough, this premium wine and food festival is putting on WA’s finest wine’s, craft beers, ciders and spirits from over 70 companies.
Over the weekend of the 26th and 27th, you can lay back, relax and sip on 300 different wines while enjoying live music and snacking on some delicious tapas from Subi’s best restaurants. Spread out with friends on the lawn area, or treat yourself to a Club Lounge ticket and win and dine in a private area.
