Northbridge, Cockburn, Joondalup, Mandurah
With their original Northbridge restaurant packed out with dumpling lovers every weekend they’ve set up places all over Perth so you can get your fix whether you live North or South. They’re famous for their seafood dishes and have some great options for vegetarians too.
Tim Ho Wan, the tiny Hong Kong dumpling restaurant has built a global reputation for its amazing dumplings, crafted by former Four Seasons Hong Kong dim sum chef Mak Kwai Pui. This Michalin starred restaurant serves up fresh, hand made dumplings at a cheap price. Definitely one of our go-to options for lunch in the city.
NORTHBRIDGE CHINESE RESTAURANT
Northbridge Chinese Restaurant is always packed on the weekends so be prepared to wait or get there as soon as they open the doors. Cheap, fast and delicious, it will be worth the wait.
AUTHENIC BITES DUMPLING HOUSE
Authentic Bites Dumpling House menu is smaller than most but you can tell how much work goes into their hand rolled and pinched dumplings. Our pick, the xiao long bao and wonton soup.
MOM DUMPLING HOUSE
East Victoria Park
Serving up dumplings in East Vick Park since 2012, one of our favourite for cheap yet delicious dumplings. You’ve also gotta try some of their vege sides like the cucumber and chilli sauce.
New to William Street in Northbridge, Shanghai Mama brings us all the best street food from Shanghai, think wontons, potstickers (for those that don’t know these are delish fried wontons!) and dumplings, all made by hand and in house. You have to try the Beef Momo and for all you vegans out there get your hands on the Munchy Monk potstickers!
Always full and always fresh. If you’re looking for something south of the river, this is another good one that serves up some great dumplings, we’re always reordering the prawn and chive dumplings and the chicken rice parcels.
