All the best Cheap Eats in Perth

We love bargains. We love food. We have GOT THIS.

Fill up your belly without emptying your wallet with our guide to the absolute best cheap eats in Perth. You’ll find plenty of delicious food served everywhere from Perth pizza joints and burgers to Chinese restaurants for dumplings in Perth and hawkers food halls. And you know what’s even better? Each meal below will set you back $15 or less.

Spencer Village Food Court | Thornie: Well known by the locals, this place will transport you to Asia. You’ll find so many authentic eats from countries across the continent including Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, India, Singapore, Thailand and Japan. You won’t pay more than $12 for most dishes and you’ll walk out with a full happy belly.

Nao Ramen | Perth: A classic ramen joint serving up our fave Japanese noodle soup with a choice of 4 flavours of broth – shoyu, miso, shio and spicy and 4 types of noodles. For just $12.50 for a (giant) bowl you just can’t go wrong.

Hoodburger | Inglewood & Northbridge: This place is one of Perth’s favorite burger spots. Once you’ve been, you tell every out-of-towner you know they’ve got to go. It’s hidden in the Shanghai Markets Northbridge and very much feels like it doesn’t belong there but its one of Perth’s burger sucess stories.

Run Amok Hotdogs | South Fremantle:

Sometimes nothing is more satisfying than a good bratwurst. This Freo fave is best known its glorious topped hot dogs for under 10 bucks. They’ve also got lots of vege and vegan options so no one has to miss out, oh and its BYO, so winner all round.

Tra Vinh | Northbridge: This Vietnamese restaurant is the place to go when its the day before pay day and you’re craving noodles. A big bowl of Pho Tai will only set you back $11, oh and while you’re at it try the stuffed chicken wings ($4.50 each), they’re the bomb.

Filos & Yiros | Highgate: It’s hard to go past a good yiros (it’s what the Greeks call the kebab), and not only at the wee hours of Sunday morning after a boozy night out. Oh and they also do a wicked Spanakopita for $8!

Took Bae Kee | Perth: We always leave this Korean place satisfied, their dishes are full of flavour and authentic. For just $10 you’ll be slurping on a traditional simmering clay pot soup, you can add 4 side dishes for $3… yep seriously. Don’t leave without trying their kim chee pancake either.

Kitchen Express | Karawara: This Malaysian restaurant is a favourite among uni students, and for good reason; cheap, delicous and filling. Most meals are between $9 – 14 and we can hand on heart say, there is nothing bad on the menu. The Kueh Teow, BBQ Pork Noodles and Laksa are our go-tos.

Govinda’s Hare Krishna | Northbridge:  It’s good vibes only at this tucked away vegtarian spot on William Street. For $10 you get ‘as-much-as you-can-eat’ vege buffet ($8 for students and pensioners)including dessert! The halava here (a semolina pudding served with custard) is ahhhhhmazing. We always order an extra one for home.

Pinchos | Leederville: This Spanish-style bar and eatery is as delicious as it is affordable. Pinchos start at $1, with lots of options from seafood, Chorizo, chicken and lots of vegetarian dishes, there’s something for everyone.

Mack Daddy’s | Mount Lawley: This place isn’t called Mack Daddy’s without reason, the serving sizes are New York style – huge! Its a popular pizza spot not only the locals. You can eat a giant slice for around $6 or grab a whole pizza for $23. Portion sizes are huge, so maybe try more than one flavour on your pie.

Chilliz | Perth: This CBD favourite serves up cheap and tasty Malaysian dishes that fit in with your weekly work lunch budget. You can grab yourself a satisfying meal for $6, there’s no denying this is one of the best valued lunches in Perth city.

Hoodburger is Mario’s fave so we find ourselves there a bit. Personally, I love Pincho’s. YUM! Sarah, you are making me hungry!
